The first years of Tremplin
An observation
“always”
Many young people leave the school system with visible and less invisible gaps (spelling, maths, self-confidence).
These bad school memories block their desire to learn, they remain stranded below the level of training that could have been theirs.
There are also those who, having stayed away from school for a long time, are de facto "dropouts" when it comes time to start training.

The realization of an idea
1993
Guite Theurillat and Pierre Ruch launch a reflection on the training of low-skilled adults. A call for volunteers appeared in the local press to recruit volunteers, which led to a first meeting in January with 16 teachers from all backgrounds.
It was just a few months later, in April, that the authorization to teach arrived, and the first classes started with 17 participants.

Teen dramas
1998-2001
A sudden brake came in 1998: Tremplin was only authorized to give French lessons, and the financing of services was readjusted downwards.
Financial balance is now only achieved with 8 participants per class (previously 6), this makes it difficult to apply the andragogy typical of our school, a radically differentiated learning approach for each learner.
A drastic reduction in the volume of activities follows, and “survival mode” is activated for several years.
